Product Update: Try Our New Variable Pricing Feature For Hosts

Want to update how much you charge drivers per kilowatt hour (kWh) based on the varying cost of your electricity throughout the day? Now you can by enabling Variable Pricing on your listings in EVmatch.
Our new Variable Pricing feature allows EVmatch hosts to easily set different charging prices depending on the time of day. For instance, the host of a commercial, multi-family, or vacation rental charging station could set a lower rate for nighttime charging sessions when electricity rates are lower. Similarly, hosts can increase the cost to charge during the daytime when electricity rates are typically higher.
Variable pricing should only take a few moments to setup within your account. We’ve created a brief video tutorial featuring our Product Manager to show you how to quickly enable this new feature on your EVmatch listings. We’ve also included a couple of screenshots below.
The screenshot below (Figure 1) reflects an example of two pre-determined time blocks with different pricing settings that an EVmatch host has enabled using the Variable Pricing feature for their listing.
The next screenshot reflects an example of what an EVmatch driver sees when booking a charging session at a listing whose host has enabled Variable Pricing.
